Greenhouse gas is found in the atmosphere surrounding the earth which transfers radiation within the thermal infrared range. This plays a huge part in the temperture of planet earth as the heat from the sun is magnified just like a greenhouse's glass magnifies heat. The main gases involved are carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide, water vapour and ozone. The greenhouse gas effect is being affected by human activities such as burning fossil fuels and clearing forests as these things result in increased carbon dioxide production. The increased production of carbon dioxide means that the surface of the Earth will become hotter over time - a process known commonly as global warming. This is an issue because we have continued these activities on a large scale for many years now. It's time for to reduce our production of greenhouse gas before it's too late.
